Musa Waqas A Young Voice of urdu Literature and Creativity.

I grew up in Lahore, but most of my childhood was spent in Riyadh. Later, my family returned to Lahore, especially during the Covid period. My father, however, stayed in Riyadh as he works there. He is a software engineer and serves in the International Department at King Saud University. Because of Covid, we came back to Pakistan, but after two years we moved back again. Now, I live in Riyadh.

I have been creating content for more than seven years and editing for over eight years. Poetry, however, has always been in my blood. My grandmother, Shehnaz Akhtar Nigar, is a poet, and my father, Syed Waqas Javed , is also deeply connected to literature. That is why poetry naturally became a part of my life. Among poets, Faiz Ahmed Faiz is my favorite. His poem Mere Dil Mere Musafir is very close to my heart.

When people ask me what inspired me to become a poet, I always say it was my father and grandmother. While I was already into content creation, two years ago I started poetry more seriously. During my study, I realized that in Pakistan some things are slowly disappearing, and one of them is Urdu language and literature To protect and revive this, I began sharing my poetry and videos.

My training in poetry started with great poets like Faiz and Iqbal. That is why, when I write my own verses, I often feel they are not as powerful compared to theirs. Still, poetry has changed my life in many ways. It opened new doors of thought, gave me new perspectives, and shaped my philosophy. Sometimes a single verse completely changes how I see life.

Poetry has influenced me in countless ways. It has:

  • Triggered my philosophy and psychology
  • Given me new interpretations of life
  • Strengthened my critical thinking
  • Improved my emotional intelligence
  • Opened the doors of research and discovery

Message for the Youth:
I am still a part of the youth myself. My message is simple: always take a stand for yourself.

Many young people in Pakistan hesitate to express their thoughts, even when they are right, because they fear criticism. But criticism should not stop you. If your point is correct, speak it confidently and stand firm, even in front of elders. Do it with respect never with rudeness but learn to stand for your own stance.

This is my small message, and I hope you liked my story
