Meet Abdul Samad Khoso: A Brave Voice of Truth in Journalism

Abdul Samad Khoso was born in 1996 in Khoski, a town near Badin district in Sindh. From an early age, he was interested in social work. With honesty, truth, and passion for reporting, he stepped into journalism at a very young age. In 2019, he officially began his career as a journalist.

Samad Khoso has worked with many famous Sindhi newspapers such as Daily Pehnji Akhbar and Soob. He also reported for Sindhi TV channels like Time News, Today TV, GNN TV, and ABN TV. His dedication and honesty made him one of the most respected voices in Sindhi/Urdu journalism.

He has covered important events, elections, and local issues. His bold reporting on the rise of drug trafficking in Badin was recognized not only locally but also internationally. For his work, he was awarded a journalism certificate from the Middle East.

Throughout his journey, Samad has interviewed many leading political figures of Pakistan including Pir Pagara, Bilawal Bhutto, Asifa Bhutto, and others. His style of reporting always focused on facts, clarity, and courage.

Besides being a reporter, Abdul Samad is also a social worker and community leader, showing his commitment to society’s betterment. Today, he is serving as a Senior Reporter at SAMAA TV, one of Pakistan’s largest Urdu news channels. Over the years, he has covered election reporting, parliamentary reporting, and security reporting, becoming a role model for young journalists in Sindh.

Samad’s life reflects his deep connection with journalism, society, and politics. From interviewing national leaders to raising the voices of common people, his work has left a mark on the history of Sindhi/Urdu journalism. Starting his journey in 2019 as a young reporter, he has now grown into one of the most senior and respected journalists.

Abdul Samad has even survived two assassination attempts during his journalistic career. Speaking about his journey, he says:

“In the beginning, journalism was my passion. But later, speaking the truth and becoming the voice of the oppressed became my biggest challenge.”

For him, journalism is not just about reporting road accidents; it is about giving voice to the voiceless and treating truth as a responsibility to society.
